“… A garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” – Isaiah 61:3
Praise & worship of God also is a weapon to be used against the enemy. Praise confuses the enemy. Praise also breaks the enemy’s oppression against God’s servants.

“And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord” – Psalm 27:6
True Praise & Worship Of God
God Wants You To Have A Lifestyle Of Praise & Worship
God wants you to develop a habit and a lifestyle of praise & worship of God. And God also wants you to develop a regular time of fellowship with Him, of prayer, and of reading & studying His word.
God also wants you to develop a heart that is grateful and thankful for all that He has done for you. And for all that He is going to do for you, and in you, and through you.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – I Thessalonians 5:16-18
You need develop a lifestyle of praise and worship God, prayer, and being thankful. The more you know God, the more you will praise and worship God. You will trust Him more and want to talk to Him about everything in your life. You will better trust and follow Him. And you will be more thankful to God in your life.
Rejoice In The Lord Always
“Rejoice in the Lord always (praise and worship God always); again I will say, rejoice ! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:4-7
Notice that there is a connection in these verses between rejoicing in the Lord and not being anxious. And also there is a connection between being thankful and having the peace of God which surpasses all comprehension.
You can have joy and peace, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. The keys are regular fellowship time with God, and starting your day with praise & worship of God. And continuously rejoicing in the Lord, and being thankful. Even and especially when you do not feel like rejoicing or praising God. Even and especially when you do not feel grateful or thankful.
“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:15-16
