In Part 1 we began to learn the vital importance of meditating on God’s Word in order to discern and know what God is saying to you. Hearing God’s voice is the most important part of your prayer & fellowship time with God.
Understanding what God is saying to you is difficult if you do not know how to properly read and interpret the Bible. It is essential to learn to properly read God’s word, and observe as much as you can while you read His word. Then you need to meditate on God’s word before you try to interpret what God is saying or trying to teach you.
Now we will continue to learn more about how to meditate on God’s Word the Bible.
Meditate On God’s Word The Bible
As You Read & Meditate On God’s Word The Bible, Think About How You Can Apply It In Your Life
Ask the question “How can I do this / apply this / follow this in my life ?
“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says… But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it – he will be blessed in all he does.” – James 1:22,25
Simply quickly reading God’s Word is not enough to bring about the transformation that God desires to do in you. And it is not enough to be able to determine what God is saying to you, and how He is trying to teach you. You need to meditate on God’s word the Bible so you will be able to properly interpret it and then apply it into your life.
