Dear Friends, We had a great month in May, and the Lord continues to do great things in the hearts and lives of people in this part of Brazil. God is opening many doors for us to share Jesus, and we finished scheduling outreach events in schools and churches through the end of the year. We praise God that we have been recommended by schools to many other schools, and this will help open more doors for future events. It looks like this will end up being one of our best years, if not the best, in ministry here, and we praise God for this. We also praise God for your continued prayer support, which is absolutely vital in this spiritual war for souls. Also, we are looking forward to our upcoming trip to the US in late June and early July. It will be good to get some time to rest, and to see our families and some of our friends, some of whom we have only seen once in nearly 5 years. We had our Qualidade De Vida (Quality Of Life) outreach project in this municipal school in São Vicente on a Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon. We worked with Capela Calvario church, which is located near the school. Pastor Celso and Pastor Chris (from Germany) lead the church, and each of them helped as our interpreters in the school, as did a few more people from the church. The school is located in a poor favela area of São Vicente, and has students from 1st to 4th grades. The participation of Capela Calvario was great, and we had 8 people from the church with us on Monday morning, and 6 more on Tuesday afternoon. We praise God for the good participation of the church, and for going ahead of us and preparing many hearts. 335 students, 6 teachers, and the Vice Principal accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him. The school leaders loved the project, and they want us to come back and speak to the parents at a future parents meeting. This will be a good opportunity to reach some families for Jesus. The school also is interested in receiving more help from the church, which is what we always pray and hope for.

We spoke 4 days in the EM Cidade de Santos municipal school, which is for students in 1st to 8th grades. They also have classes at night for adults. We worked with Igreja Batista Centenario, which is led by Pastor Luis. One of our interpreters, Regina, who is a member of the church, helped to organize helpers from the church. We almost lost this good opportunity to do our project in the school, because we originally scheduled it with them last November and they had a different principal then. When we called in early April to confirm with the school, we learned that they had a new principal and leadership team, so we needed to get their approval again. Fortunately they agreed to let us do the project. Once again God moved in a great way and prepared many hearts before our visits. During our 4 days in the school 850 students (including close to 100 adults) and 8 teachers accepted Christ. We praise God for the joy and privilege of allowing us to join Him in His Kingdom work.

We worked with Igreja Peniel in this large municipal school in the Vicente de Carvalho area of the city of Guarujá this week, and God did some amazing and wonderful things. The school is for students in 6th through 9th grades. Vicente de Carvalho is a very heavily populated area of the city, and is made up of a mix of middle class to poor people. Igreja Peniel is led by Pastor Nzuzi, who is an African pastor ministering in Brazil. The church participation in the school project was great, and they had up to 8 people helping us each day, most of which were from the youth group. It is great to see the youth in the church serving the Lord and helping to reach others for Jesus. We spoke in the school last November for their special program "Mais Educacao", which is a special program for about 100 of the students. The school coordinator accepted Christ that day, and they liked the project and speech so much they invited us to come back this year to speak in all of the classes in the school. We spoke 2 days in the morning period, and 2 more days in the afternoon period. God prepared a great harvest in the school, and many students and teachers were open to hearing the Good News of Jesus. Incredibly 1085 students and 8 teachers accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him. Although we are not able to speak about a specific church in the classrooms, some of the people from the church were able to talk to some of the students during break time and invite them to small groups in homes that the church has. Please pray that God will continue to work in the new believers' hearts and help them to find a good church home, and to grow closer to Him and grow spiritually.

* We will be traveling to the US from June 23 to July 13 to visit our families and friends in Atlanta, Ohio, and Rochester NY ... please pray for God's protection for us, and that we will have a good time of rest.

* Please pray that our son Anthony will be able to get a new job soon. He moved to Miami recently and needs a job.
