Dear Friends,
We are finishing our 5th year in Brazil, and it has been a great adventure to join God in His work here. We are thankful that He has given us the undeserved privilege of serving Him, and we are looking forward to seeing what He will do in the future. He has already opened many good opportunities for us to share Jesus in 2012, and we are excited about what lies ahead. Knowing that you are faithfully praying for us and for those we are trying to reach is a great encouragement and blessing to us, and we want to thank you again for your faithfulness. We hope that you will have a blessed Christmas and a great New Year in 2012. If we can pray for you please let us know. |

| Nov. 5: Community Service Event in Sao Vicente |
 We worked with Primeira Igreja Batista Sao Vicente and Igreja Batista Vila Nova Mariana in this event to help poor people. The churches provided a variety of services to minister to people's physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, including doctors & nurses, psychologists and counselors, lawyers,... They also provided haircuts, shoes and clothes to many needy people. Many poor people were ministered to and helped. We had the privilege of sharing the speech we use in the schools, and in the end 17 children and 5 adults accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him.

Nov.7-8: Speak at EE Bartolomeu Gusmao school - Santos
|
We worked with Pr. Jose Cavalcante and Igreja Batista Chico de Paula in this state school located in a poor area of Santos. The students were having tests the week we were there, but thankfully the school let us do our project. The church participation was very good during the project, and we had various opportunities to talk to students about the church. We are not allowed to speak about a church in the classroom, but we can discuss the church with students outside of the class. We praise God that 361 students and 7 teachers accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him.

| Nov. 9: Speak at EM Lorena school in Cubatao |
 We spoke in this municipal school on 3 days in September, but all of the 4th grade classes were out of the school the day we spoke in the morning period, so we needed to return to finish. We praise God that 106 students and 2 teachers accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him, and also that the school recommended us to all of the other municipal schools in the city of Cubatao.

Dec. 3: Speak at Igreja Batista Vila Nova Mariana
|
|
The church is led by Pastor Andre, and is located in a remote and very poor section of Sao Vicente. We worked with them during a community service event for poor people on November 5, and Pr. Andre asked us if we could come back and speak at this special event. They have a ministry for poor children called PEPI, and in December they have a special Christmas party for the children and their families. We had the privilege to speak during the event, and it was a great opportunity to share Jesus with the families, most of which are unchurched. We praise God that 92 people accepted Christ and committed their lives to Him, most of which were adults.

Prayer Requests & Praises
- We are having meetings at schools and churches to schedule outreach events for 2012; please pray that God will guide us and bless us with many opportunities to share Christ.
- Please pray for more workers to reach people for Christ, and to do the important follow up work and to make disciples. Here, the harvest truly is great, but the workers are few.
- We praise God that we will have 2 or 3 US churches that will be coming to help us next year to share Jesus (1 in May, possibly 1 in August, and 1 in October 2012). This is a great blessing and it will help us to reach many more people for Jesus than we could by ourselves.
- We are still waiting to receive the approval for our dual citizenship. Please pray that this will get done soon, because our "permanent" visas will run out in March. It has already been a year and a half since we started the process.
